Stanbic Bank has appointed Barbara Kasekende as corporate social investment manager, according to a statement by the lender.
Ms Kasekende worked as a private banker in charge of customer relations at Stanbic Bank prior to her appointment.
“She comes with over ten years of senior management experience in customer relations, marketing, and public relations, having worked in a variety of corporate positions with leading multinational brands in the United States and Uganda,” the statement said.
She will oversee implementation of the banks’ CSI agenda which “focuses on delivering strategic long term support for early childhood, primary, secondary and tertiary education initiatives across the country”.
Ms Kasekende has an MBA in international management from the University of Texas at Dallas.
