The finance minister said the government will focus on addressing recent challenges to the economy, such as the slow growth of average income, rise in unemployment, and the effects of droughts and land fragmentation on agricultural productivity.
The finance ministry has signed two loan agreements with the African Development Bank (AfDB) to finance the construction of the 23.7 kilometre Busega-Mpigi Expressway project and rehabilitation of its auxiliary road to Rwanda.
