Old Mutual Life Assurance is proud to announce a strategic partnership with Rotary Uganda to provide an affordable, simplified, and fully digital group funeral cover tailored specifically for Rotarians in Districts 9213 and 9214. The partnership highlights Old Mutual’s ongoing dedication to promoting financial well-being within Ugandan communities.

The Group Funeral Cover has been designed to provide vital financial support to Rotarians and their families in the event of bereavement. With annual premiums ranging from just Shs95,000 to Shs250,000, the product ensures that every Rotarian has access to affordable protection, providing peace of mind and financial stability.

In line with Old Mutual’s digital transformation agenda, this product has been fully digitised. This allows Rotarians to conveniently register, make purchases and submit claims through multiple self-service channels. Members can access the service by dialling *228#, messaging the official WhatsApp line on +256709460552 or logging in to the secure online platform. This ensures instant access and ease of use anytime, anywhere.

This initiative is about more than just launching a product; it marks the start of a wider collaboration between Old Mutual Life Assurance and Rotary Uganda. As part of this partnership, Old Mutual has committed to supporting several Rotary initiatives, including the Rotary Cancer Run, a basic literacy programme, financial literacy campaigns, and tree-planting projects. These initiatives align with Old Mutual’s purpose of being a force for good in the community.

Speaking at the official announcement, Patrick Kimathi, the managing director of Old Mutual Life Assurance, said: “We are proud to be partnering with Rotary Uganda, a key strategic partner in helping us to achieve our sustainability goals of building strong and prosperous communities, running a sustainable business, and protecting the planet. By working together, we’re providing financial protection to Rotarians and creating a lasting impact through shared values and meaningful action.”

Anne Nkutu, Rotary Uganda’s District Governor for Area 9213, which covers Uganda, added, “Rotary stands for service above self. This partnership with Old Mutual Life Assurance reflects of our shared values of community, dignity, and impact. The Group Funeral Cover provides our members with a dignified solution that brings peace of mind while strengthening the bonds of solidarity across the Rotary fraternity.”

This partnership combines Rotary Uganda’s trusted grassroots network with Old Mutual’s heritage of insurance expertise and digital innovation. Together, they are set to redefine how Rotarians experience protection, convenience, and community support.
