Appointment of Independent Non-Executive Director

In accordance with Rules 36(2)(h) and 53(1) of the Uganda Securities Exchange Listing Rules 2021, Stanbic Uganda Holdings Limited (SUHL) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Norbert Kagoro as an Independent Non-Executive Director.

Mr Kagoro brings a wealth of experience in finance, audit, and executive management, garnered over his 27-year career. As a Certifed Public Accountant, he has played a pivotal role in the growth and development of audit practices in Uganda, Rwanda, and Burundi, accumulating unique insights across various industries and sectors.

Prior to his appointment, Mr Kagoro was a Partner at Deloitte and Touché Uganda, where he managed client relationships, oversaw assignment delivery, and ensured quality assurance. He also currently serves as a Director at Grant Thornton Uganda.

Mr Kagoro holds a Master of Business Administration in Leadership and Sustainability from the University of Cumbria and is a member of several professional bodies including the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda (ICPA), Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Rwanda (ICPAR), Odre Profession Comptable du Burundi (OPC) and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).
